Preparing a Home for a Fall Launch

Fall is a quieter, more deliberate season for selling. The right preparation lets you take full advantage of it.

Spring gets the headlines, but fall is often the more comfortable season to sell a home. Buyer attention is concentrated, competing inventory is thinner, and serious buyers move with intention before the holidays.

Most of the preparation we recommend in summer also applies in fall, with a few seasonal adjustments: warm lighting in evening photos, attention to landscaping that will read well as foliage turns, and clear, dry pathways for showings.

If you are considering a fall listing, the work begins now. Two to three months of lead time gives us room to stage thoughtfully, photograph in the right light, and time the launch to the strongest week of the season.
